The pleat table is part of the ‘’Sand in Motion’’ collection – a family of sculptural objects manufactured from 3D printed sand, using technology that was developed for the German automotive and aerospace industries. The chair is designed primarily as a sculptural object. Movement of sand is caught in a moment and captured in these 3D printed sand objects. The collection of collectible objects includes several vessels, a chair, a standing mirror and side tables, which reveal the possibilities of the technique and the beauty of the natural material.
