Rive Roshan was commissioned by A+I Architects to create a bespoke transitional artwork for PENN1 New York. The transformation of the midcentury PENN 1 to an office building of the future is redefining the experience of working in the PENN District.

The architect wanted an interactive artwork above the staircase of the building so that it felt like it was constantly changing, without any digital technologies or screens. We created a large-scale reflective installation that shifted in colour, light and captures the movement of passers by. The ceiling above the artwork was made from a reflective material to create the feeling that the work continues in space.
